Find The Center of a Circle / Trouver le centre d’un cercle

Voici une méthode simple pour trouver le centre d’un cercle sans outils spécialisés. Il faut une équerre de charpente, une équerre combinée et une pince en G.

Here’s a simple method to find the center of a circle without specialized tools. You need a framing square, a combination square and a small clamp.

À l’aide d’une pince en G, fixez les deux équerres comme montré.

Using the clamp, secure the two squares as shown.

Le coin intérieur de l’équerre de charpente doit être aligné avec le bord externe de l’équerre combiné (cercle).

The inside corner of the framing square must align with the outer edge of the combination square (circle).

Déposez l’ensemble sur le cercle de façon à ce que l’équerre de charpente soit appuyée sur les bords du cercle et tracez quelques lignes le long de l’équerre combinée depuis quelques points autour du cercle.

Drop the assembly on the circle so the framing square will lean against the edges of the circle and trace few lines along the combination square from few spots around the circle.
