For this first example, I mount a 1″ (2.5 cm) core box bit in the router table and I set the height (red line) to one third of the future door frame.
Maintenant je règle le guide arrière à la distance typique des plates-bandes – 1-1/2″ (4 cm).
Now I set the guide fence to typical raised panel distance – 1-1/2″ (4 cm).
Je procède aux quatre passes du périmètre en commençant par le grain de bout pour éliminer les écorchures inévitables.
I proceed with the perimeter four passes starting by the end grain to eliminate inevitable chippings.
C’est exactement ce que j’anticipais.
This is exactly what I anticipated.
Une autre table à toupie avec une fraise avec le profil dit classique. Ici je règle la hauteur pour éviter l’épaulement (flèches).
Another router table with the classical profile bit. I set the height to avoid the shoulder (arrows).
Une fois encore je règle le guide arrière à la distance habituelle – 1-1/2″ (4 cm).
Once again I set the guide fence to usual distance – 1-1/2″ (4 cm).
Et je procède aux quatre passes du périmètre en commençant par le grain de bout pour éliminer les écorchures.
And I proceed with the perimeter four passes starting by the end grain to eliminate chippings.
Et ce pour un nouveau profil original.
To end up with a new creative profile.
Au banc de scie, je termine les panneaux avec mon plus récent gabarit pour panneaux de plate-bande (lien).
At the table saw, I complete the panels with my most recent jig for making raised panels (link).

The red line shown the anticipated cut to remove about one third of the thickness.
La pièce étant bien maintenue, je procède à la première passe.
The workpiece being well secured, I proceed to the first pass.
Il aura fallu trois micro-réglages pour me rendre jusqu’ici, d’où il ne restera qu’un léger ponçage à effectuer pour bien niveler la transition (flèche).
It took three micro-settings to end up with this, from where only a light sanding will be required to level the transition (arrow).
Et voici après la quatrième et dernière passe.
And here is after fourth and last pass.
Maintenant, l’autre profile, courbé.
Now, the other profile, curved.

Un ponçage à la main pour finir et adoucir les profils.
Le cercle rouge indique d’où sera déterminée la largeur des rainures du cadre de la porte. Une feuillure peut aussi être réalisée derrière les panneaux pour épouser une rainure existante plus étroite.
A hand sanding to complete and smooth out the profiles.
The red circle shows from where will be determined the width of the grooves into the door frame. A rabbet can also be cut behind the panels to match an existing narrower groove.
