My Last Acquisitions / Mes dernières acquisitions

While I was not well enough to spend time in my workshop, I took the opportunity to shop online for few tools, which will be handy for future projects.

De gros outils pour de grosses bouchées.

Big tools for big bites.

End-mill set, few of them to be used with my routers.

Nobody can boast of having enough clamps. I couldn’t pass such a bargains.

A nice complete combination kit for all kinds of dovetails (blind, through, minis, sliding) and as well as box joints.

Fun in sight ! And practice.

I hope my heirs will be as excited as I am, what I will never know, I suppose.

Serge, Nice stash! Never used my Porter Cable Jig. It’s now in another woodworker’s hands. Hope your doing well.

    • Serge says:

Tom, I hope I will try and use my dovetail jig and all its possibilities. I already started to use few of those new clamps. You can’t never have enough clamps, enough routers, enough time, enough money, etc…

      J’ajouterais assez d’héritiers (ières) intéressés (ées)…

  2. Tonatiuh Mellado says:

    Congratulations 🙂

Serge, if your heirs are woodworkers they will be in heaven (like you will) :).

By the way, I bought some of that skateboard non slip self adhesive you recommended a while ago and used some yesterday to replace the sandpaper on my mitre gauge fence. That stuff is better than I could have imagined. Thanks for another great tip.

    • Serge says:

Good for you, Mark. This is really good stuff for that kind of use (as many others).
Take note that I didn’t recommended it (I’m too humble for that), I only shared my own experience with it. What fits me doesn’t mean it will fit someone else.

  5. Philip Davies says:

Serge, I hope you mean that these are your latest acquisitions, not your last! Unless you intend never to buy anything more. While I hope your heirs will value their inheritance, an early sign might be if they actually try to make something of their own.

    • Serge says:

Hopefully not my last ! For now, I’m sure my son-in-law is eager (so to speak) to see me.. gone to finally get his hands on my tools (not only my daughter !). Lol

  6. Barry Straughan says:

Wow! What a great stash of tools! You indicated some of your purchases were deals, could you share which ones and where you got them?

  7. Loren Haas says:

Serge, I bought a bunch of those Bessey clamp sets two years ago in a post holiday clearance. I believe I now have 12- 12″ & 24- 6″. I use them on almost every project. Very handy!
I also buy similar clamps from Harbor Freight, but in longer lengths. 18″, 24″, 30″ & 36″. They are not top quality but very functional. They regularly on sale and/or discount coupon. One each time I visit the store.
You can never have too many!

    • Serge says:

Your right Loren, they are very handy.
My cheaper sets (blue handles) are well done and they feature Acme threads, which I like. I already used them and for the price I can’t complain.

  8. Dominique Berger says:
