Magnetic Tool Bar / Support magnétique pour outils

Quand j’ai reçu le support aimanté pour outils que j’avais commandé j’ai été surpris de constater que les deux faces étaient aimantées et pouvaient donc recevoir des outils. Compte tenu que j’ai considéré que c’était une perte, j’ai décidé de l’installer de façon à l’utiliser à son maximum, soit des deux faces.

When I received the magnetic tool support I ordered I was surprised to see that both faces were magnetized and therefore both could be used to hang tools. Since I felt it was a waste, I decided to use it to its maximum, on both sides.

J’ai utilisé le banc de scie pour couper une chute de contreplaqué de la longueur du support aimanté et j’ai coupé des cavités pour caler les deux équerres d’ancrage.

I used the table saw to cut a plywood scrap the length of the magnetic support and I cut recesses to bury the two anchor brackets.

À la perceuse à colonne j’ai percé d’autres cavités pour caler les rivets.

At the drill press I bored more recesses to sink the rivets.

Ce faisant je pouvais visser le support aimanté sur le contreplaqué.

Doing so I was able to screw the magnetic support to the plywood.

Je trace et poinçonne une extrémité du contreplaqué pour cette charnière appropriée.

I trace and I punch one end of the plywood for this appropriate hinge.

Près de la perceuse à colonne, j’installe la charnière au mur.

Close to the drill press. I install the hinge to the wall.

J’ajoute un crochet sur le dessus de l’autre extrémité du contreplaqué.

I add a hook screw on the opposite top end of the plywood.

Tel que montré sur la photo, j’ai aussi ajouté un crochet au mur, au dessus de la charnière, ainsi qu’une chainette. Cette dernière maintiendra le support horizontal.

As shown on the photo, I also added a hook screw to the wall, above the hinge, as well as a small chain. This latter will keep the support horizontal.

Voici le résultat escompté, soit toutes les surfaces aimantées sont utilisées.
