Just being aware that you can buy such plastic hand sanding disc holder, the idea of making my own spontaneously came up.
J’ai la chance d’avoir sous la main ce support Velcro de réserve fourni avec cette ponceuse orbitale achetée il y a quelques années.
I’m lucky enough to have on hand this spare Velcro holder provided with this random orbit sander I purchased years ago.
J’ai coupé un bloc de bois jusqu’à ce qu’il soit confortable dans ma main, soit 2-3/4″ X 4″ X 1-1/4″ (70mm X 100mm X 32mm).
I’ve cut this block of wood until it felt comfortable in my hand, which is 2-3/4″ X 4″ X 1-1/4″ (70mm X 100mm X 32mm).
J’ai arrondi les coins et tous les bords à ma ponceuse à bande d’établi.
I’ve rounded over the corners and all sharp edges at my benchtop belt sander.
Je poinçonne les endroits dédiés prévus pour quatre vis.

J’ai finalement eu l’idée de l’entouré de ruban de tissu athlétique (pensez ruban de hockey) pour améliorer la prise.
Finally came up the idea of wrapping it with fabric athletic tape (think hockey tape) to improve the grip.
Regardez à gauche ce que j’ai découvert le lendemain dans une de mes boîtes de chutes. C’est le reliquat du bouchon d’un pot de plâtre brisé, lequel j’ai gardé au cas où. Aujourd’hui je suis content l’avoir fait.
Look on the left what I found the day after in one of my scrap bins. It’s the relict of the cap of a broken plaster pot, which I saved in case of. Today I’m glad I did.
J’ai enlevé (et gardé) le joint de caoutchouc et j’ai vissé de la même façon l’autre support Velcro que j’avais aussi sous la main, disons dans un tiroir !
N’est-il pas plus conforme à l’original jaune ?
I removed (and kept) the rubber gasket and I screwed the same way the other Velcro holder I also had on hand, let’s say in a drawer !
Isn’t more conform to the yellow original ?
C’est bien d’avoir le choix !
