Les scies à onglets sont de superbes outils. Elles peuvent faire des coupes précises, droites ou en angles. L’inconvénient majeur de cet outil est sa limite en profondeur, du moins ma scie de 10″ (26 cm).
Miter saws are great tools. They can make precise cuts, straight or angled. The drawback of this tool is it is limited in depth, at least my 10″ saw (26 cm).

Voici ma façon d’obtenir davantage de cette scie, particulièrement lorsque je coupe en biseau, sans devoir pencher l’outil et ainsi endommager mon guide arrière auxiliaire !
Je commence la coupe à la scie à onglets jusqu’à ce que sa limite soit atteinte, ensuite je complète la coupe au banc de scie sans devoir perdre du temps à l’incliner et la remettre ensuite à 90°. Je déteste incliner mon banc de scie et je fais tout ce que je peux pour l’éviter.
Here is my way to get the most out of this saw, particularly when cutting bevels, without having to tilt the tool, what would wreck my auxiliary fence !
I start the cut at the miter saw until its limit is reached, then I complete the cut at the table saw, without spending time tilting the saw and then set it back to 90°. I hate tilting my table saw and I’m doing everything I can to avoid it.
C’est simple et je peux atteindre la profondeur et la précision requise sans devoir incliner aucune de mes scies. En passant, l’alignement est plus facile et rapide en glissant une règle de métal dans le trait de scie pour l’aligner avec la lame du banc de scie.
Toutefois, je ne pourrais pas me passer de ma scie à onglets ‘bornée’ !
It is simple and I can reach the depth and the accuracy I need without having to tilt none of my power saws. By the way, aligning the cut is faster and easier if you slip a metal ruler in the saw kerf to align it with the table saw blade.
However, I couldn’t do without my ‘limited’ miter saw !
