Tel que montré, j’ai dû enlever et éponger l’excès de colle suite au collage de ces deux languettes.

As shown, I had to remove and wash away the squeeze out glue after gluing those two strips.

Compte tenu que l’eau fait lever le grain du bois, je dois maintenant le poncer à nouveau avant d’appliquer le fini.

Since water raises the wood grain, now I must sand it again before applying the finish.

Pour éviter de poncer en travers du sens du bois, ce qui serait apparent après l’application du fini, j’utilise un large couteau à joints afin supporter le papier abrasif pour poncer dans le sens du grain avec des mouvements de va et vient.

To prevent from sanding across the grain, what would show after the finish is applied, I’m using a wide putty knife to support the sandpaper while I sand with the grain with back and forth movements.

Même les couteaux à joints peuvent être polyvalents, et j’en possède quelques-uns, jusqu’à 10″ (26cm) de large.

Even putty knives can be versatile, and I own few, up to 10″ (26cm) wide.

    • My pleasure Delain. For a seasoned woodworker this one could be a reminder and I thought that for a beginner it good be a good lesson, free. Unfortunately, some youngster can’t see that far !
