Pour que le gabarit puisse glisser encore plus aisément, j’ai appliqué une couche de cire sur le dessus et le dessous que je vais polir ultérieurement avec un linge.

For the jig to slide more easily, I applied a coat of wax on the top and bottom that I will polish with a cloth later on.

Entre temps, de cette retaille de peuplier je fais deux rondelles avec cette scie cloche (emporte-pièce) de 1″.

Meanwhile, from this poplar scrap I’m making two washers using this 1″ hole saw.

Ensuite j’agrandis le trou du centre avec un foret 1/4″, correspondant au boulon en T.

Then I enlarge the center hole using a 1/4″ drill bit, according to the T-bolt.

J’ai déterminé l’épaisseur des rondelles afin que les boulons soient calés dans le bouton. Un léger ponçage  les complète.

I determined the washer thickness so the bolts will be sunk in the knob. A light sanding and they’ re ready.

Voici l’ensemble quelques heures plus tard après que la cire ait été polie. J’adore !

Here is the whole assembly few hours later after the wax has been polished. I love it !

Tel que montré sur la photo suivante, je pourrai glissé et bloqué le gabarit afin que la pièce à couper soit supportée suffisamment.

As shown on the following photo, I’ll be able to slide and lock the jig so workpieces to be cut will be sufficiently supported.

Pour éviter les écorchures des deux côtés de la coupe, je pourrai glisser le gabarit en conséquence. Lorsqu’usé, je le pivoterai bout pour bout pour utiliser l’autre côté vierge. Et c’est pour cette raison que j’ai fabriqué deux gabarits simultanément.

To prevent tearout on both sides of the cut, I’ll  be able to slide the jig accordingly. When worn out, I’ll fip the jig over end for end to get a fresh edge. And this is the reason why I made two jigs simultaniously.

Finalement, un trou fraisé pour le pendre au dessus du banc de scie avec d’autres gabarits utiles.

Finally, a countersunk hole to hand it above the table saw with more useful jigs.

Alors que j’avais la boîte de cire en main, j’ai appliqué une couche sur la table du banc de scie et la scie à ruban. Voyez mon truc pour polir cette cire !

While I had the wax in my hands, I applied a coat on the table saw top as well as my band saw. Watch my tip to polish this wax !
