Pour trouver l’emplacement central exact où la sauterelle touche la butée, j’utilise cette pointe de tournevis plat insérée dans la sauterelle, horizontalement, et je trace sur la butée.

To find the exact central location where the toggle clamp hits the stop block, I’m using this flat drilling bit inserted in the toggle clamp, horizontally, then I mark the stop block.

Ensuite je répète la même opération mais cette fois-ci verticalement.

Par la suite j’ai réalisé que j’aurais pu utiliser le format approprié d’un poinçon à centrer. J’ai pu toutefois vérifier ma première mesure.

Then I realized that I could have used an appropriate size center punch. Doing so, I was able to verify my first mark.

À la perceuse à colonne, je perce un trou de 5/16’’ de diamètre, environ 1/16’’ de profond pour accueillir la tête de l’agrafe des stylos. Ce trou maintiendra l’agrafe centrée sous la pression, comme montré.

At the drill press, I counterbore a 5/16’’ diameter hole, about 1/16’’ deep to nest the head of the pen clips. This hole will keep the clip centered under pressure, as shown.

Finalement, je perce un trou de 5/32’’ de diamètre environ 1/2’’ de profondeur pour accueillir la pointe des stylos. Encore une fois, ce trou maintiendra la pointe centrée sous la pression, comme montré.

Finally, I drill a 5/32’’ diameter hole about 1/2’’ deep to nest the tip on the pens. Once again, this hole will keep the tip centered under pressure, as shown.
