The next step consists of drilling the tabletops for the router bits to get through. To prevent from chipping, I add this scrap from under to support the cut.

I chamfer the top and the bottom of each tabletop with this trim router outfitted with a small chamfering bit.

J’utilise les bases de plastique originales pour déterminer l’emplacement exact des trous des vis qui supporteront les toupies. Je dois porter attention à ce que les mécanismes de fixation des toupies soient placés vers l’extérieur des tables, comme montré.
I’m using the original router plastic base plates to determine the exact location of the holes for the screws that will support the routers. I must take care to locating the lock levers towards the outside of the tables, as shown.

Les faces supérieures sont fraisées. Attention, les têtes des boulons doivent être sous la surface, sinon les pièces risquent de s’y accrocher.
The top sides are chamfered. Caution, the heads of the bolts must be sunk under the surface, otherwise workpieces may catch on them.
